‘Our experience of using Crafty Jackdaw was brilliant from start to finish, can’t fault it at all.Communication before the event was prompt and clear, you were really efficient with set up and how the session ran (despite it being very busy with over 60 women!) and all the materials were great. The members of Seven Hill’s Women’s Institute have learned that this craft is definitely not just for kids!”Lindsay Garfitt, President, Seven Hills Women’s Institute, September 2014
Crafty Jackdaw ran a badge making session at our fun day for disabled children and their families. Children really enjoyed the activity and proudly showed off some very stylish badges!” Eva Juvsola, Sheffield Parent Carer Forum, September 2013
Crafty Jackdaw ran an excellent badge making evening with our Brownie Unit. The girls (and leaders) were thoroughly engaged and made loads and loads of badges and pocket mirrors. It’s such a simple idea, yet the results are so lovely. We will definitely be booking again – this time probably for an adults only event! ” Kerry Hickman, Hallam Brownies, July 2013
“It was a fantastic experience and one I would certainly recommend to all leaders. We felt it was a very inclusive activity – all the girls (and leaders!) could join in and no one struggled. It was great to be able to link it in to the theme this term. The feedback from the girls was overwhelmingly positive. The leaders all felt it was a well organised session and definitely a good idea to limit numbers in each group. Helen said if you’d have been there for 24 hours they would just have kept making badges happily. We’re debating when to have you back! We thought the cost was really reasonable.” Emily Saunders, Guide Leader, Ranmoor Girl Guides, October 2012
“Hallam Headspace (part of Mental Wealth UK and Sheffield Hallam Student Union) hired Crafty Jackdaw to run a stall at an event promoting positive mental health for World Mental Health Day. Crafty Jackdaw were early to arrive, professional and went the extra mile for us on the day. They engaged with students and passers-by alike, telling them all about our aims for the event and encouraging badge-makers to attend the other stalls. They even gave out our literature for us. Crafty Jackdaw were by far the most successful stand of the day!! It seems that adults really do love their crafts as much as kids! (I have my badge at home). Thank you so much Crafty Jackdaw for making our event so enticing and for supporting us throughout the day – we will definitely be hiring you again!!” Rachel Stanniforth, Group Leader, Hallam Headspace, October 2012
“The activities went down a storm at our school fete. So simple – yet effective.” Vicky W, Hunters Bar School HSA, September 2012
